How We Became Los Angeles' Trusted HVAC Experts
In 2003, with nothing but a toolbox, a beat-up truck, and a passion for fixing things, Alex Sandler started what would become SoCal HVAC. Back then, it was just "Alex's Appliance Repair," operating out of a small garage in Northridge.
Alex's journey began when he helped his neighbor repair an aging refrigerator that three other technicians had given up on. Word spread quickly and soon, Alex was the go-to person for refrigerator and major appliance repairs throughout his community in the San Fernando Valley.
"I remember those early days clearly," Alex recalls. "I was working 12-hour days, driving all over Los Angeles County, and learning something new with every repair. What kept me going was the relief on people's faces when their appliances started working again."
As his reputation grew, so did the business. By 2008, Alex had hired two additional technicians and expanded into commercial refrigeration for local restaurants and markets. It was during a particularly brutal Southern California summer in 2011 when Alex noticed a trend – customers kept asking if he could look at their air conditioning units while he was there.
"That summer changed everything. I realized there was a huge need for reliable, honest AC repair in Southern California. The technology wasn't that different from refrigeration, so it was a natural progression."
Alex invested in training, certifications, and equipment, officially rebranded to SoCal HVAC. Today, with a team of certified technicians and a fleet of service vehicles, SoCal HVAC has become one of the most trusted names in heating and cooling across Los Angeles and Orange County.
